The Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 99 (MUD 99) will hold a public hearing on its proposed tax rate for 2025 on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 12:30 PM. The hearing will be held in person at 2727 Allen Parkway, Suite 1100, Houston, TX, and virtually via videoconference.
The district is proposing to keep its total tax rate unchanged from last year at $1.0150 per $100 of valuation. However, due to a significant increase in the average appraised home value (from $391,728 to $419,922), the tax bill on an average homestead would still increase by 7.20%, or $286.17, if this rate is adopted.
